Instructions

  1. 1.Kneel on the floor, with an exercise mat underneath your knees. Hold an olympic barbel out in front of you with light circular plates. This is your starting position.
  2. 2.Slowly roll the barbell away from you, stretching your body out straight as far as possible without letting it touch the ground.
  3. 3.Pause for a second, then start to pull yourself back to the starting position.

Tips

  • Keep your back straight as possible.
  • Descend in a slow controlled manner.
  • Keep your abs tight at all times and remember to breathe!.
  • Advanced people can try this exercise without having to bend the knees to increase the difficulty.

Breathing Instructions

Breathe in during the eccentric (lowering) portion of the exercise and breathe out during the cocentric (elevation) portion.
