Instructions

  1. 1.Begin by standing up straight, placing the palms of your hands behind your head and your elbows facing out sideways. Stand with your feet on the ground shoulder width apart. This is your starting position.
  2. 2.Perform a squat, then return back up to the starting position.
  3. 3.From the starting position, lift your right knee up, while simultaneously bringing your left elbow down towards your right knee by twisting your torso. Trying to get it as close to the knee as possible without bending your arms.
  4. 4.Return to the starting position, squat again and repeat on the other side.
  5. 5.Repeat for as many repetitions/time as is required.

Tips

  • Twist your try to accomplish the movement by twisting through your torso and bending your arms as little as possible.
  • Try to keep your core tight during this exercise.
  • Perform the motion in a controlled manner, using momentum as little as possible.

Breathing Instructions

Breathe in during the eccentric (lowering) portion of the exercise and breathe out during the concentric (elevation) portion.
